Opening Meeting Results

Cup O' Joe has had their Opening Meeting and the shifts are mostly filled. We will officially open on Sunday the 14th at 8:00pm!! Shift training will be at 10:00pm on Sunday. We have all of our curtains in!! The Meeting Minutes are as followed

The new president, vice president, and secretary were officially introduced. Yay!!

Our new curtains have arrived. They still need to be hung, but it is exciting. They're a nice shade of blue.

The officers attened the SA meeting the previous night and recieved the budget request form. The officers will be meeting soon to discuss the budget.

The mood lighting still needs to be hung up in both rooms. Once we have more time we will set up a date to get everything put up. Help is needed for that because most of the officers are too short to reach.

We need ideas for monthly activities. A Twister party was mentioned, and was greeted with lots of excitement. Other ideas included a game night, or having a local band(from off campus maybe).

There will be a Measure meeting Wednesday the 17th at 9:00pm.

It might be helpful to purchase more stools, because the ones we have keep falling apart. One collapsed at the start of the meeting, so that might be something we figure into the budget request.

The treasurer announced some of the new rules for the budget request. SA has developed some new rules which are listed on the form. We also have to fill out mroe forms, and give SA an updated copy of the Cup O' Joe constitution.

8:23 - Remembering Veterans of Pearl Harbor
Finals week setup at coj - first room games and chatting, then pocket door is half/completly shut. Second room is quiet study room. Finals hours will be posted - looks like we will be open mostly for usual times.
A computer with linux from the computer center will be installed next semester. It will have a wireless internet connection.
Curtains are in the works and will be very nice and, better yet, washable.
Lighting will be hung next semester - neatly.
Appeciation for the work done at cup o joe
Thanks (and chocolates) given to Allison, Danielle, and Jessica. Without them Cup O' Joe would not have reopened after the fix. They have put a lot of care and, cleaning, and work into this place. Thank you also to all those who helped them out.
Before opening the floor up to elections, the President announced her resignation. Due to the fact that she is a senior, she wants to guide the succeeding president, so that he or she is comfortable and that COJ can be managed well.

Popcorn Christmas

Cup O Joe has recieved the popcorn popper! We will have the supplies for it shortly.
Cup O Joe is open on Nov. 26th from 10pm to midnight.
I hope that you will be pleased to know that this is the first time in history that Cup O' Joe has a Christmas Tree! Yes, it is only 4' tall, yet it was only $20. It is fiber optic too! Shopping was done at a dollar store over break, and there are ortaments and a star to decorate the tree.
Feel free to decorate!
